About Tasting Places

We offer a series of Cookery Holidays and bespoke gourmet breaks in locations throughout Europe and beyond. In the UK we also offer occasional Masterclasses. All are designed for people who love and appreciate fine food and wine, the holidays are relaxed and informal. Through hands-on instruction, trips, tours and tastings, we will inspire you and provide you with the skills and knowledge to cook creatively when you return home.

About

We have carefully selected each location for its character and individuality, to make you feel at home and to gain a genuine insight to the region as an invited guest and not as a tourist.  Our portfolio is constantly reviewed so we are able to provide the best of new options as well as edit out those which no longer  fulfill our requirements.

We believe that good food is one of the joys of life. Our management style is very personal and our attention to detail ensures that the courses are informative yet relaxed for all those participating. One feature on which you can depend is the long leisurely lunches and dinners, sampling delicious food and tasting a variety of excellent wines. Guests will receive a comprehensive set of all the recipes from their holidays.

We also have access to wonderful and lesser known locations which have given us the opportunity to expand our portfolio to organising specialist, tailor made groups and workshops depending on personal or corporate requirements.

We are delighted to have celebrated over 20 years of running successful cookery holidays internationally and to have developed a core of truly wonderful partners who share our values and ethos.  Added to which we have received much recognition in the press and many accolades both for our holidays and personal service. We would like to thank all our guests who have supported us over the years, particularly the many friends who keep coming back.


Management & Courses

The managing partners of Tasting Places are Sara Schwartz; Martin Saxon; and Alastair Little; who have recently been joined by Alison Fiander as Director.   Alison brings a wealth of experience from a blue-chip corporate career spanning BP Oil; her role as European and Asian Head of Events for Deutsche Bank; also Marketing Events Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars; and working with high-end private clients.

They share a passion for the best in seasonal, regional cuisine as well as providing warm hospitality in fabulous locations.  Their combined experience, high standards and specialist knowledge enables them to offer a really well considered choice of cooking experiences, along with a professional yet personal management style.  Their key aim is to maximise guests' satisfaction and create fabulous memories.
